''Erebia epistygne'' is a species of butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in France and Spain. Its natural habitat is temperate grassland. It is sometimes called ''Spring Ringlet''. The length of the forewings is 22-25 mm. Adults are on wing from March to May. Larval hostplant is the grass Festuca ovina (Poaceae).
